Andy Wooding Jones

Andy was born in Manchester and after a nomadic childhood in NW England and Scotland completed schooling in Tunbridge Wells where he became a Christian on a school Christian Union holiday.

Andy and Margaret married in 1986 and have two children – Tom lives in Edinburgh and works a Lighting Designer and Technician for events and Katie is a Church intern in Sheffield.

After studying Hotel Management Andy worked in hotel and retail management and as Deputation Secretary with the South American Missionary Society. In his late twenties Andy studied at Oak Hill Theological College he was ordained into the Anglican Church. He church planted in Welling SE London and was Associate Rector and Director of Pastoral Care at St Thomas Crookes in Sheffield. For twelve years with Margaret he led the team at Ashburnham Place Prayer and Conference Centre in East Sussex. Andy joined the World Prayer Centre as Chief Executive in 2012.

In 2014 Andy and Margaret moved to Kent to support Margaret’s parents. Andy now has a portfolio of roles including Project Management and Consultancy as well as regularly preaching and teaching at his local church in Hildenborough and more widely.

Andy has an MBA in Church and Charity Management and regularly teaches on Management at Emmanuel University in Romania. He is also a Trustee of Tonbridge Counselling Service, InterPrayer and of CCI UK. He is a Parish Councillor. He is the author of Running the Race (BRF)

He is a pioneer pastor who enjoys teaching on prayer and Christian discipleship. He is a visionary who has helped other organisations and individuals look at their strategy and organisation.
